Ivan Naborshchikov: "Almost a year has passed since the idea to record the album was born and until its release. It is unbelievable that during this difficult time we could manage to realize this project which is very dear to us. The repertoire and concept of the album have undergone great changes. New names have appeared in the list of composers. We also recorded a piece by the winner of our competition of composers Ilya Vyazov. It was not in vain!"

The duo Ivan Naborshchikov & Svetlana Gurzhiy was formed in 2020 during the quarantine time in Moscow. The musicians started to record short videos for social networks which drew the attention of a professional audience and lovers of contemporary classical music. The musicians experimented a lot with the repertoire referring to the works of different eras – from the Renaissance to composers of the 21st century. This is how the program for the first album of the duo was born.

Ivan Naborshchikov and Svetlana Gurzhiy are winners of Russian and international competitions. Currently they are students of the Moscow State Conservatory. They often perform in concert halls in Moscow both as soloists and chamber ensemble players. They are frequent guests of festivals in Russia, Austria, Italy, Spain and the USA.
